Lowering the ramp

Lowering the manual wheelchair ramp on a WAV is very easy.
Open the rear door hatch of the vehicle. Lower the bottom piece of the ramp with the handle on the left hand side.
Next, pull the ramp out and down with the top handle.
Wheelchair passenger mode & storage mode

Many people do not know but there is a handy storage mode for when someone is driving a WAV without a wheelchair user in the back.
To fold the ramp up when a wheelchair user is inside, lift from the handle at the top of the ramp.
To fold the ramp in storage mode, lift from the handle on the left hand side. This will create a platform to place items on easier.
Further Tips

Always try and plan your route where possible to ensure you can park your vehicle at a spot which provides ample room to drop the ramp. A distance of 3m is recommended.
It is important to be able to safely and easily lower the ramp and then set it back securely for your journey.
